John Gillespie: Pastor

John and his wife Tessa have pastored in the UK and USA for almost forty years.  They have also had the privilege of traveling to many Majority World (“Third World”) nations, training and loving pastors with Global Training Network.  John and Tessa have seven children and an ever-growing gang of grandchildren.


Dean Tomlinson

Dean Tomlinson: Pastor

This is Dean’s second time on staff at Westbrooke church. Dean is an ordinary guy who loves Jesus and loves people. His heart is to help people cultivate personal intimacy with Jesus and then to live on mission loving others intentionally. Dean has been married to his best friend, Jen, since 1996, and they have been blessed with two young adult children. He loves to fish, read, exercise, and spend time with friends and family. One of his favorite verses is 2 Corinthians 5:17–“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away, behold, new things have come.”

 


Chad Sebby

Chad Sebby: Pastor of Worship & Discipleship

Chad has been part of the Westbrooke Church staff since 2014. He has lead worship and served in a variety of ministry settings since graduating from Trinity International University. With a deep love of music and worship he has a passion to bring people together, for a single purpose of praising our great God. Chad sees a deep connection in going deeper with God personally, as a disciple of Jesus, discipling others, being in a gospel-centered community and powerful corporate worship. He is excited to be partnering with the Westbrooke Church family in pointing people to Jesus regardless of the setting; home groups, bible studies, outreach, one-on-one or in the corporate worship environment.  Chad has been married to Renae since 2007. He has three children.  He also loves to read, hike, travel and spend time in Colorado with his family.

Titus 3:4-5a “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy…”


Pastor Clint Hall

Clint Hall: Pastor Emeritus

Clint Hall has been a pastor at Westbrooke Church since 1986 and he has stories to tell. Clint has been at Westbrooke so long that he is now officiating at marriages for young people he dedicated as babies. Clint and his wife Linda have 9 grown children and 12 grandchildren together, and have only been married since July 2018.  Be sure to contact Clint about that one.


Josh Tomlinson: Pastoral Intern

I love Jesus. I’m just a simple guy with a heart for ministry and for connecting with people. Having done various things in the past I look forward to continuing my transition through Westbrooke at this internship to encourage and help more people along their walk with Jesus.


Mark Whiting

Mark Whiting: Administrator

Mark and his wife, Kay, are long time members of Westbrooke, first attending in 1986.  He’s been an active member including teaching Sunday School for over 20 years and currently serving as an elder.  He retired from a long business career when the Lord told him “You have stayed at this mountain long enough. It is time to break camp and move on.” (Dt 1:6-7a)  Mark and Kay married in 1980 and raised four great kids.  He loves to stay active and is an avid tennis player.

A favorite verse of Mark’s is “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)

Becky Rouse

Becky Rouse: Communications Coordinator

Becky has been a part of Westbrooke since Oct. 2019. She is a widow with four sons and one granddaughter. She comes from a big family of ten children and grew up on a farm in Missouri. She moved to Kansas in 2012. She worked 34 years in accounting for the US government. She loves baking, bicycling, sewing, traveling, and going on long walks while listening to Christian blogs. Becky enjoys serving God in a variety of ways and is blessed to be a part of the Westbrooke family.

A favorite bible verse is John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.


Richard Taylor: Custodian

Richard has faithfully served Westbrooke for 30+ years now. He was born in Independence, MO and now calls Lenexa home.

A favorite bible verse is John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
